To minimize operating expenses and maximize spending to feed hungry Nova Scotians, FEED NOVA SCOTIA depends upon the generosity of the community.

We welcome enquiries from individuals and organizations that wish to donate computer, office or warehouse equipment, and vehicles.

At this time, we are looking for computer flat-panel LCDs, PC133 (133Mhz) 168-pin SDRAM DIMMs of 128MB or greater  and trucks in good working condition . We regret we are unable to accept any monitors that are not flat-panel LCDs, nor can we take ink-jet printers.

Operations Equipment Wish List

Delivery Truck : 5 Ton, Tandem Axel, & Refrigerated. Truck to be used to ship food from FEED NOVA SCOTIA to food banks throughout Nova Scotia.

Walkie Pallet Truck : Re-Chargeable, Battery Powered, Pallet Jack/Lift, 4,500 lbs. load capacity. Pallet jack to be used on Food Delivery trucks to load and unload pallets of food.

Walkie Straddler Stacker Pallet Truck : Re-Chargeable, Pallet Stacking Lift, 3,000 lbs. capacity. Pallet jack to be used in refrigerated warehouse to pick and inventory perishable foods.

Pallet Jacks : Manual, 4,000 lbs. load capacity. Pallet jacks to be used in warehouses to move pallets of food and pick orders for loading.

Fork Lift : Propane Powered, Triple Mast, Rotator, Side Shifter, minimum 5,000 lbs. load capacity, air inflated pneumatic tires. To be used to load and unload trucks and to move pallets of food from warehouse to warehouse (outdoor conditions).

Plastic Box Containers (Fish Bins) & Lids/Covers : Length 48" x Width 50.5", stackable, drains/plugs. "Compost" product, resulting from food salvage operations, will be stored in plastic containers and then shipped to farms where compost is emptied for animal feed.
