FEED NOVA SCOTIA
HOW TO HELP
VICTORIA PARK LEGACY PROJECT

To honour nearly 21 years of dedicated service by the volunteers, donors and staff of FEED NOVA SCOTIA, a permanent monument is being built in Victoria Park, Halifax (at the corner of Spring Garden Road and South Park Street, across from the Public Gardens). The project began in 2002.

You can be a part of this legacy. Support FEED NOVA SCOTIA and honour a memory.

Surprise a loved one or lifelong friend. Commemorate a wedding, a birth, or a celebration. Show that your business supports FEED NOVA SCOTIA and the community. Each brick is just $60.00. For those who would like a lasting keepsake for their home or office, a second identical brick is available for purchase. Inscriptions may be one or two rows in length, with a maximum of ten characters in each row (including spaces and punctuation).

To order your bricks or to learn more, please call FEED NOVA SCOTIA at (902) 457-1900, or e-mail us at development@feednovascotia.ca .

Funds generated from the brick sales are deposited into a special account administered by the partners. Currently, the Society receives 50% of all funds received, with the other half used to pay for the reconstruction of the park. Once the initial restoration costs are paid off, HRM will bow out of the partnership and leave the SGABA and FEED NOVA SCOTIA to administer the project, with all funds received (less the cost of the bricks) going to the Society.

These proceeds provide us with the financial security we need, so when one of our three food distribution warehouses or nine vehicles are in need of repair, or if we are faced with unforeseen challenges or crises, we will have the financial reserves to respond.
