Christmas can be especially challenging for Nova Scotians struggling with hunger. At this time of year, in addition to continuing our regular support of food banks throughout the province, FEED NOVA SCOTIA also supports thousands of families with extra holiday assistance. There are many ways you can help make this support possible. Here are a few ideas to consider.

A Case of Compassion Each year four unique varieties of red and white wine are sold in cases of twelve, with 25 per cent of the proceeds going to FEED NOVA SCOTIA. Download an order form or call 457-1900.

Feed-a-Family
Last Christmas we worked with partners in the community to distribute more than 5,000 Christmas hampers— filled with turkey and all the trimmings— to families in need. With your help, we can do it again.
The following gift levels will allow us to distribute a full Christmas dinner, including turkey, potatoes, carrots, turnip, peas, cranberries, dressing and, of course, something sweet to top it off.

Support our Christmas Appeal
To keep up with the additional demands on the organization at this time of year, financial gifts are extremely important. When you support our Christmas Appeal you help make it possible to continue shipping food to communities across the province. Read about one single father who was able to create Christmas memories for his two children because of the kindness of others.
Donate food
We welcome perishable and non-perishable food donations at our office at 213 Bedford Highway, and non-perishable items through our drop-off bins in Sobeys and Superstores across Nova Scotia. Food donations are sorted at our warehouse and distributed to approximately 150 member agencies in communities across the province.
Host a food or fund drive
Want to make an even bigger contribution? Food and fund drives are a great way to get friends and co-workers together to fight hunger. We call these third-party events and they're one of our best sources of food and fundraising proceeds. Call us at 457-1900 or email specialevents@feednovascotia.ca and we'll help you get started.
