If you're in need of assistance, of any kind, please call our
Help Line at (902) 421-1188
Individuals experiencing food insecurity are often facing other challenges as well.
These challenges include family break up, disability, homelessness, and mental health issues.
FEED NOVA SCOTIA’s Help Line provides non-judgmental listening, risk assessment, and referral support for people experiencing distress in their lives. We can't promise to solve your problems but you don't have to do it alone – we can help.
*Please note this is a volunteer-based service. We cannot provide professional mental health advice or counselling, though we can help locate those services.
If you require information on food banks, or other food assistance resources, call FEED NOVA SCOTIA at (902) 457-1900 to talk with a member of our client support team during our regular office hours or receive ‘after hours’ instructions.
We will work with you to determine what food assistance programs in your area best meet your needs, and offer referrals and assistance with program registration.
